Introduction
For the post of National Consultant on Business Development, the OSCE Program Office in Astana is accepting applications from eligible Kazakhstani citizens and permanent residents. Through improved handicraft and entrepreneurship skills, this consulting will help 12 socially vulnerable women in Almaty become more employable, generate money, and expand women-led businesses.
Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and impart entrepreneurship learning modules emphasizing business fundamentals, fiscal stewardship, and promotional tactics.
- Undertake market diagnostics to steer participants toward pragmatic and sustainable business ventures.
- Guide in sculpting a dozen comprehensive business blueprints tailored to participant aspirations.
- Offer personalized mentorship sessions, ensuring hands-on guidance throughout the project cycle.
- Compile and deliver a concluding analytical dossier, encapsulating outcomes, insights, challenges, and forward-looking recommendations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or above) in Business Administration, Development Studies, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or closely related scholarly paths.
Experience:
- Seven to ten years of verified engagement in entrepreneurial promotion, SME expansion, or enterprise development initiatives.
Technical Expertise:
- Curriculum design for entrepreneurship and SME planning
- Acumen in marketing, branding, and financial literacy frameworks
- Proven strength in market assessments, value chain orchestration, and sustainability paradigms
- Skills in monitoring and evaluation of enterprise impact
Language Proficiency:
- Professional mastery in Russian (spoken and written)
- Competence in Kazakh is considered advantageous
Other Competencies:
- Gender-conscious perspective with cultural sensitivity
- Elevated strategic foresight and inventive problem-solving
- Strong interpersonal communication in cross-cultural contexts
- Polished drafting skills and adeptness with Microsoft Office Suite
